Cunard Cruises has announced it is to broadcast a series of literary travel programmes on public radio.
Paul Holdengraber will host the Liner Notes shows, which will explore various destinations and consider their depiction in literature, myth, art, music and film.
The first programme will be broadcast on Monday, March 17th, St Patrick's Day, when the focus will be on Ireland and authors such as Frank McCourt and Nuala O'Faolain, as well as NPR film critic Bob Mondello.
All the programmes were recorded on board the
Queen Mary 2, with guests discussing various issues during lunch at the captain's table.
Cunard Cruises' President Carol Marlow said Liner Notes is a demonstration of the line's "intuitive connection" with its guests' intellect and interests.
"Like the quest for adventure, Cunard guests are compelled to seek a diverse range of intellectual pursuits," she added.
