Islands Cruises displays full house

Card sharks and poker masters looking to enjoy a cruise that integrates their favourite hobby can now indulge their passion with Island Cruises.

The cruise line is holding its first ever No Limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament cruise on the Island Star this spring.

Sailing on March 28th 2008, passengers taking part in the tournament will be in with a chance of winning part of the £20,000 prize fund.

"And there's no need to go alone, take along a non-playing guest and they can share your cabin and join in the fun from just £529. This includes all the above except entry into the tournament," Island Cruises commented.

Non-poker playing passengers can enjoy other benefits of the seven-night Mediterranean cruise such as visiting ports in Palma, Livorno, Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona and Valencia.

Poker players, meanwhile, can look forward to champagne in their cabin on arrival and cocktail parties.

Island Cruises operates two ships, Island Star and Island Escape.

What our customers say

"I booked a Fred Olsen cruise with IGLU last month and was so impressed by the service I received. The staff member I spoke to was Kimberley and she was exemplary. Capable, kind, professional, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She went through every step of the way calmly and thoroughly. IGLU were recommended to me by friends and I have no hesitation in passing the recommendation along. Well done IGLU and thank you. "

"So easy to deal with, I studied the Cruise I wanted, did my research with different company's and returned to Iglu. I had three quotes matching Iglu’s cost, but with one phone call they beat the price themselves by £40 without me even asking, how easy was that! "
