Holland America Line has announced plans to launch a series of new voyages around Scandinavian countries including Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The premium cruise line will offer two six-day itineraries in 2009, departing from Rotterdam and calling at some of the biggest Baltic ports, such as Helsingborg and Copenhagen.
Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes at the cruise line, commented: "These new six-day cruises are perfect for the traveller who wants a shorter premium vacation and to discover some of Scandinavias most beautiful and memorable towns and seascapes."
He added that the cruise line was "delighted" to be sailing in and out of a port as "magnificent" as Rotterdam.
The six-night voyages are ideal for those looking to take a short cruise and promise to feature "spectacular scenic cruising".
In related news, Holland America Line recently announced plans to carry out significant upgrades to five of its vessels.
