Holland America Line to offer South America voyages

Date Posted: 14 Oct 2008
Holland America Line has announced plans to offer South America sailings onboard the ms Veendam.

According to Cruise Talk Central, the ms Veendam will set sail in Autumn of next year, following intensive restoration work, which includes a new pool, entertainment venue and newly decorated staterooms.

The cruise line will offer ten sailings aboard the ms Veendam, of between 16 and 20 days.

Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes, commented: "We have seen an increase in travellers who wish to take a South America cruise aboard a premium, mid-sized ship."

The Veendam's first South America voyage departs San Diego on October 31st 2009, calling at ports in Mexico, Central America, Ecuador and Peru.

In related news, Holland America Line recently announced that it had launched a new Explorations Team, in order to offer guests "more enriching experiences and activities".

What our customers say

"I booked a Fred Olsen cruise with IGLU last month and was so impressed by the service I received. The staff member I spoke to was Kimberley and she was exemplary. Capable, kind, professional, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She went through every step of the way calmly and thoroughly. IGLU were recommended to me by friends and I have no hesitation in passing the recommendation along. Well done IGLU and thank you. "

"So easy to deal with, I studied the Cruise I wanted, did my research with different company's and returned to Iglu. I had three quotes matching Iglu’s cost, but with one phone call they beat the price themselves by £40 without me even asking, how easy was that! "
