The Italian city of Genoa will launch into full party mode tomorrow to honour
Costa Cruises as it introduces two brand new ships to its line.
In addition to the town mayor, Israeli singer Noa and worldwide fencing champion Valentina Vezzali will be in attendance to celebrate the spectacular ceremony, as will Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi and the country's answer to the Red Arrows, the acrobatic team Frecce Tricolori.
The two new liners in question are Costa Pacifica and Costa Luminosa, the first of which can carry 3,780 passengers and boasts a recording studio, while the latter, which holds 2,826 onboard, contains a Grand Prix driving simulator.
However, cruise lovers the world over will have to get booking early if they wish to embark on a Pacifica or Luminosa journey as places onboard are sure to be quickly snapped up.
This comes shortly after Costa Cruises reported that it has seen nothing but business growth since the recession set in last year, the Chatham Daily News reported.
