Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has announced that interior designers Space will be working on the firm's latest cruise ship.
Named Balmoral,
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines wants the ship to retain a certain Britishness, something it is confident Space can help it to achieve.
The firm says it intends for the vessel to have a distinct personality that makes it stand out from the rest of its fleet, while also being instantly recognisable as a
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines ship.
Although many of the rooms onboard are yet to be named, it has been revealed that the main restaurant will be called the Ballindalloch Room.
In addition, the main lounge will be the Blenheim Lounge and the entertainment venue will be known as the Neptune Lounge.
"Once again, we are delighted to be involved with
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines," said Mark Hilferty from Space.
"It is more than ten years since I first stepped onboard Black Watch and met with Mr Fred Olsen for the first time, and I feel just as proud to be involved with this project as I was with Black Watch back then."
