Princess Cruises is well on its way to becoming the industry's culinary figurehead with its newly launched programme of taste-bud tantalising initiatives.
Quirky touches like an afternoon cookies and milk break will be combined with a sophisticated revamp of the line's restaurant fare.
Princess Cruises' two new ships -
Emerald Princess and
Royal Princess - will proudly display the new ventures when they debut this month.
The line's Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations, Peter Tobler, comments: "Princess has a long history of signature culinary traditions and we wanted to celebrate these while introducing a new variety of modern classical dishes and contemporary service."
Among the innovations include a Late-Late Riser option of breakfast served at lunchtime, as well as pizza delivered directly to passengers' cabins in a traditional box with napkins and cutlery.
Princess Cruises recently announced another culinary offering - the Chef's Table experience, which gives a select group of voyagers the chance to spend an evening with one of the line's talented dish creators.
