Five ships will be running the Alaska route for
Princess Cruises this summer season, offering passengers the opportunity to explore the northern wilds from the luxurious vantage point of one of the designated vessels.
A new Connoisseur package will be trialled with the
Tahitian Princess, which joins the usual fleet for the first time, aiming to give travellers a longer-lasting, more in-depth perspective on Alaska.
Connoisseur routes are targeted at returning visitors eager to discover the treasures they missed first time round.
The hidden wonders of Alaska become more precious with every passing year, as the melting of the glaciers and icecaps progresses.
Featured attractions will include glimpses of the brown bears of Kodiak, viewing Valdez, and spotting exotic wildlife at Seward.
"We're offering travellers the chance to explore many of the hidden gems of this region they don't often get the opportunity to explore," said Princess President Charlie Ball.
Meanwhile, the other four, larger vessels will enable explorers to see the glaciers and Inner Passage in the company of up to 2,700 fellow passengers who have chosen
Princess Cruises.
