The
Cunard Line'sQueen Mary 2 vessel will embark on a cruise around the UK this autumn, as part of the ship's fifth birthday celebrations.
Departing from Southampton in October, the ship will call at a number of ports including Liverpool and Greenock, TravelMole reports.
Since it was launched by Her Majesty the Queen in 2004, the ship has crossed the Atlantic 104 times and sailed more than 750,000 nautical miles.
Speaking recently, Cunard president and managing director Carol Marlow said she was extremely proud of the ship's achievements.
"This ship spearheads Cunards fleet of the most famous ocean liners in the world which currently consists of Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria," she commented.
The Queen Mary 2 and
Queen Victoria will be joined by Cunard's new Queen Elizabeth vessel in 2010.
