From next year, those travelling with
Crystal Cruises will have the opportunity to enjoy five-night pre-and post-cruise land programmes.
Available as part of the cruise line's China and Japan itineraries, the five-night journeys, which take in Tibet and the Sichuan province, offer passengers the chance to visit the giant pandas at the Chengdu Breeding and Research Centre and to view the region's famed palaces and monastaries.
John Stoll, director of land programmes at Crystal Cruises, commented: "Bridging the best of land and sea, the China and Tibet extended land program offers excursions to regions of the world that few travellers will ever have the chance to see."
He added that Crystal Cruises was committed to providing its guests with new and memorable experiences.
"Crystal vacation isn't confined to the port cities and surrounding area."
Vessels currently operated by the cruise line include the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.
