Costa Cruises updates menus

Date Posted: 17 Jun 2008
Costa Cruises is set to update its menu in order to accommodate people who are on a strict gluten-free diet, according to reports.

The holiday company is keen to see that its food services are able to meet the needs of individuals who cannot eat gluten products and particularly those who have celiac disease.

A total of 11 Costa Cruises ships currently making their way around European seas are expected to have their menu overhauled as part of the initiative, while the Concordia already has.

In addition to listing gluten-free foods on its menus, the cruise provider has revealed its intention to make sure that all relevant staff members of trained to take account of the issues for people with celiac disease, TravelMole reports.

Costa Cruises showed an entirely different kind of food-related leadership recently when it set a new world record for the longest line of pizzas in history as part of anniversary celebrations in Sydney.
