Costa Cruises is aiming to increase its presence in Asia with the addition of the Costa Classica to its fleet in the region.
Having completed all of its winter itineraries, the 14-storey vessel is currently sailing to Hong Kong from Dubai.
The ship is due to enter Victoria Harbour on April 9th.
Dario Rustico, sales and marketing director of Pacific Asia operations, said the arrival of the ship in Hong Kong next month demonstrates the cruise line's commitment to the travel industry in the region.
"We will ... further develop the markets to make cruising the number one holiday choice and the positioning of Costa Romantica in Asia scheduled for March 2010 is further testament to our ongoing commitment," he commented.
Costa Cruises' far eastern destinations include China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and South Korea.
