For warmth while on the waves,
Costa Cruises suggests its own Italian heritage could be the ideal option.
Combined with a touch of European sophistication, the cruise line operates on a principle of "love, laughter and la dolce vita".
Having covered routes throughout Europe for 60 years,
Costa Cruises adds that it has a depth of understanding on each of the ports it visits.
President and chief executive officer Maurice M Zarmati says: "Italy is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world."
He continues: "This summer, there simply isn't a better way to visit the Mediterranean than with Costa."
The cruise operator's newest ship, the
Costa Serena, comes with attractions ranging from a Grand Prix simulator to the largest enclosable pool deck of its kind.
A total of 19 ships are currently in action across all of Costa Cruises' brands, while a further ten are due to be added to the fleet upon completion.
