Celebrity Solstice the newest addition to
Celebrity Cruises' fleet is unlike any other cruise line, it has been claimed.
Writing for MSNBC, travel columnist Anita Dunham-Potter lavished glowing praise on the ship, describing it as "truly light years ahead of the cruise ship pack".
Capable of carrying 2,850 passengers, the Celebrity Solstice features its own lawn club complete with real grass and a glass-blowing centre.
Despite its large size, Ms Dunham-Potter said the vessel is "surprisingly intimate and "offers abundant nooks and crannies for passengers to escape the masses".
She also praised the quality of entertainment on offer and suggested that anyone who likes Cirque du Soleil will be impressed by Solstice The Show.
"The entire Solstice Theatre was designed around this show. It includes vocalists, physical comedy, breathtaking group acrobatics, aerial performances and other speciality acts," she added.
Destinations currently served by Celebrity include Bermuda, South America and Hawaii.
