Celebrity Cruises has revealed that its third 'celestial' Solstice-class ship will be called Celebrity Eclipse and will join the Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox in 2010.
Celebrity Solstice will be the first of the 118,000-tonne cruise liners to enter service, scheduled to sail its maiden voyage next year. Celebrity Equinox will begin work in 2009, followed by Eclipse the following year.
"Naming Celebrity Eclipse brings us that much closer to making this phenomenal new class a reality," said Celebrity Cruises President Dan Hanrahan.
"Our brand is in a period of significant growth and momentum, and our new Solstice class exemplifies that expansion in an incredibly exciting way."
The Eclipse will have all the benefits of the other two ships in the new line-up, with larger standard staterooms. Some 85 per cent of the staterooms will have a veranda and 90 per cent of them will be outside.

Celebrity Cruises ships to 13 in service by 2010, offering a great selection of itineraries for guests.
At the end of last year, the company announced the expansion of its Celebrity Expectations brand.
