Celebrity Cruises is set to boost the cultural impact of its cruises with an innovative audio commentary service.
Museum-quality commentary is to be made available on the permanent onboard art collection that can be found on seven of the line's ships.
"We're thrilled to be the only cruise line to offer equipment of such high quality to guests interested in art," commented
Celebrity Cruises' Vice-President of Entertainment Lisa Lutoff-Perlo.
"Whether someone is new to the world of art or an art historian, our self-guided art tour will give them new insight into the works on display, ultimately enhancing their cruise experience," she added.
Written by an art historian, the commentaries look to be both accessible and enlightening for both the novice and the expert, with a winning combination of academic rigour and light-hearted speculation.
