Celebrity Cruises is launching a new luxury cruise brand: Azamara Cruises.
Coinciding with the inaugural voyage of
Celebrity Cruises' newest vessel - Azamar Journey - the brand also includes its sister ship Azamara Quest.
The programme is set to appeal to fans of exotic cruises, with itineraries focused on the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.
"This new line falls into what we consider the deluxe category - a category between premium and luxury," explains Richard Fain, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Azamara Cruises' parent company,
Royal Caribbean Cruises.
With butler services and "plush European bedding", one of the ships' two restaurants offers Mediterranean food, the other hearty steak and seafood.
Keen shoppers can take advantage of the ship's boutiques offering fine art, photography, jewellery and sculpture.
Meanwhile, the ship's resident excursion expert will be on hand to help travellers construct their ideal holiday.
"What's special about Azamara Cruises is its distinctive combination of impeccable service, exceptional cuisine and off-the-beaten-path destinations, with truly immersive excursions," comments Azamara Cruises President Dan Hanrahan.
In related news,
Celebrity Cruises recently announced that its new ship Celebrity Eclipse will sail on its inaugural voyage in 2010.
