Celebrity Cruises has announced plans to launch its first-ever voyages around the Antarctic.
From 2010, the Celebrity Infinity will take passengers on 14-night Antarctica sailings, enabling guests to catch a glimpse of some of the world's rarest animals, TravelMole reports.
Those travelling onboard the ship will also have the opportunity to cruise through glaciers and travel past Paradise Bay, Elephant Island and the Gerlache Strait.
Established in 1989, the cruise line's fleet also includes the Celebrity Century, Celebrity Galaxy and Celebrity Mercury.
From December 2009 the cruise line will also be offering 14-night South America sailings between Valparaiso and Buenos Aires, with calls at Uruguay, Punta Arenas, Punta del Este and Cape Horn.
On other news, the cruise line announced earlier this year to launch a "Soap Cruise" onboard the
Celebrity Century, enabling television fans to sail alongside and interact with their favourite soap stars.
