Celebrity Cruises is enhancing its culinary offerings even further.
The prestigious Jacques Van Staden has been appointed Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations, in a move that is sure to spell good news for cruisers' taste buds.
Mr Van Staden's repertoire includes tapas and French cuisine.
The expert also served high-class food to political figures at a White House adjacent restaurant.
"Jacques has as much passion for food as he does for people and I'm confident our guests will experience the difference, as we deliver a fresh, creative culinary product and the same high level of service that will keep Celebrity at the top of our industry's dining polls," comments Dan Hanrahan, President of
Celebrity Cruises.
Other highlights of the newly appointed figure's career include serving as chef de cuisine at one of Las Vegas' top-five rated restaurants, Alize, as well as performing the role of executive chef at Las Vegas-based Aladdin Hotel's London Club.
In another example of the line's culinary expertise, Celebrity Cruises recently launched two new wine cruises around the coastal Pacific region of the USA.
