The largest cruise ship in the world,
Independence of the Seas, has now arrived in the UK ahead of her summer sailing season from Southampton.
Royal Caribbean Cruises has invested much time and money in this latest cruise liner and the ship is filled with an array of facilities and entertainment venues.
Boasting nine restaurants - featuring a main dining room with a capacity for 2,000 guests -
Independence of the Seas is also home to an ice rink, a theatre, a surf simulator, a nine-hole miniature golf course, a climbing wall and a boxing ring.
Sailing from the UK, it is perhaps fitting that
Independence of the Seas also boasts a British-style Dog and Badger pub.
Next week, the cruise liner will be christened at Southampton by competition winner Elizabeth Hill from Derbyshire, who was found to have provided support to young people in the local community.
At
Independence of the Seas' launch music will be provided and a fireworks display will take place.
