Up and coming
Royal Caribbean Cruises ship
Oasis of the Seas looks likely to be a sure fire hit with the kids.
According to Cruise Mates teen reporter Alex Gaynor,
Oasis of the Seas is the "coolest thing ever" and appeals to teenagers on a number of levels.
Ms Gaynor notes that even parts of the ship that are as yet inaccessible to youngsters still hold much allure.
"One of the cool features, which as teens we can't use yet, is the rising tide bar. Over time, it ascends and descends between the Promenade and Central Park above it. Even though we're underage, it still seems like a cool thing to watch," she notes.
However, the main draw, according to the teenage writer, is the Boardwalk - one of seven neighbourhood concepts being pioneered by
Royal Caribbean Cruises onboard
Oasis of the Seas.
Fantastic child-friendly features in the Boardwalk area include eateries such as Johnny Rockets, Seafood Shack, the Boardwalk Donut Shop and Ice Cream Parlour entertainment in the form of Madame Zahara's psychic and tattoo parlour, a carousel and two "huge" rock-climbing walls.
