Holidaymakers planning to take a voyage on vessels operated by
Carnival Cruises towards the end of the year may just be lucky enough to catch one of the biggest selling musical groups of all time.
The Backstreet Boys has revealed plans to stage a concert at sea on board what is believed to be a Carnival ship from December 9th to 13th.
Dubbed the Backstreet Boys Cruise 2010, the event "is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that the boys will embark on and share with you, the fans", said a message on the band's website.
The ship will depart from South Florida and take in "exotic ports" along the way, heading back to its departure point on the morning of December 13th, added the website.
It appears musicians are being attracted to cruising as the 1990s boy band's planned concert comes in the wake of a sell-out fan itinerary by 1980s boy band New Kids on the Block last year.
