Anticipation is quickly mounting for the launch of
Cunard Cruises' newest ship, the line has announced.
Queen Victoria is set to debut in December and is to embark on an eclectic timetable of journeys to some of the world's most compelling locations.
Voyages around the Mediterranean, the Baltic and Northern Europe all look likely to display the new ship's confidence and character in 2008.
"In
Queen Victoria's inaugural year, we've planned a compelling around-the-world schedule that affords travellers an opportunity to experience the next generation of
Cunard Cruises' style, complete with festive welcomes in every port," says Carol Marlow, President of Cunard Cruises.
A series of trips around the Mediterranean give travellers the chance to experience places as diverse as Dubrovnik, Sicily and Athens.
Meanwhile, voyagers opting for a Baltic cruise can enjoy a 14-day Russian Rendezvous taking in St Petersburg, Gdansk, Tallinn and Estonia.
Northern European travellers can select a 7-day Norwegian Fjords trip or a 12-day Voyage of the Vikings.
The company recently announced that the new vessel's design would evoke a bygone era of classic cruising.
