A journalist and her mother recently enjoyed a trip to the US onboard the newly refitted Queen Mary 2.
Writing in the Daily Mail, journalist Joanna Tweedy noted that the ship, which underwent the three-week refurbishment in Hamburg recently, comes complete with four swimming pools, a 20,000-foot gym and spa area, a ballroom, internet centre, casino and cinema.
"The world's longest, largest, tallest, widest ocean liner does not deal in boredom," she commented.
For those who like their entertainment to be more enlightening and educational, there are workshops involving yoga, cooking, painting, astronomy, dancing and acting.
One couple commented: "We love to dance so it's great for us. This is out sixth time aboard."
There is something for everyone, which is handy as passengers range from single people under-30 to extended families with kids.
Along with the Queen Mary 2, Cunard's fleet consists of the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth.
