10 Alexandria
Alexandria
Dating from the 9th Century BC, Alexandria was one of the greatest cities of the ancient world and home to one of the Seven Wonders, the Lighthouse. Many ancient glories remain in Alexandria and it is the site of Egypt’s only Roman amphitheatre. Its most famous landmark is Pompey’s Pillar, a pink granite monolith erected in 297 AD, which stands 25 metres high and has a 9-metre circumference. Modern Alexandria also has its treasures. The Corniche, a broad waterfront promenade near the docks, is lined with spectacular 19th Century grand hotels and overlooks the sandy beaches. For a treat, enjoy lunch at the elegant Cecil Hotel, where Winston Churchill once stayed.

The city of Rhodes is dominated, physically by the medieval castle which stands guard over the old harbour, at the eastern end of the town, its turrets and high walls delineate the town's skyline.

14 Thira, Santorini
Thira, Santorini
Santorini is the very essence of Greek charm. Sugar-cube houses cling to the cliffs. Vivid blue church domes add a splash of colour. And steep cliff-sides tumble into an impossibly clear sea. Just beautiful. Sample the wine or the cliff top views, the terraced bars and restaurants or the ancient Roman ruins on Santorini.

16 Chania, Crete
Chania, Crete
The old town of Chania is really worth a visit, as it is beautifully kept. I have a few favourite places we always visit when we are there. One of them is a cooperative for Cretan artist, where they have thousands of paintings at more than resonable prices (the price is usually €100, or can be "negotiated" to that price). It is situated in a small basement of a stone house in a back alley in the old town. There are also a couple of really nice restaurants, in buldings dating back to the 17th century with a ton of history. One of them (Tamarind) is in a old Turkish Bath house, and really worth a visit.

Malaga
Malaga is the major coastal city of Andalucia and is a genuine and typical Andaluz city with a gritty individualism untouched by tourism and, to a large extent, the passage of time.

Just completed Kenya to Singapore Dec 14/Jan1015. The Safari lead in in Kenya was a disaster with few animals sighted and horrific road travel. So much promised and not delivered. The ship was spotless and the hotel staff the best we have experienced in 22 cruises. Dining experience excellent. Entertainment was non-existent, guest speakers fair but uneven. Tours staff appeared too young and inexperienced. Significant problems with water pipes. Unable to bring CNN and BBC broadcasts. Would not recommend for repositioning cruises.

I had the pleasure of spending 5 night on board the MV Odyssey last year from Athens. From the moment I stepped on board I could see that they have spent a lot of time and effort on the refurb of this vessel. The cabin was very comfortable and the staff very professional and welcoming. The main point of this cruise is that the excursions are included in the cost. I can honestly say that the guides are the best I have every experienced and they really made the sites come alive. All in all it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this ship.
