What a beautiful ship, we had a great time and will travel on her again. The Staff were incredible - all of them. We only used the Buffett and found it well stocked with a variety on offer (some meat quality was not so good) but the Pizza and Pasta were addictive. Our Balcony room was on Deck 14 and there was some distutbing noise at night from the pool Deck 15). The entertainment was great buy some of it was on a bit late to take part every night . Well done MSC.

Very impressive ship. Very well maintained and lovely to be on. All staff work really hard and always served with a smile. Lots of entertainment to cater for everyone Market place buffet has a varied selection so something for everyone one. A section is open to the early hours to cater for late night munches Really enjoyed our holiday. Only downside is unsupervised children using hot tubs as a swimming pool. Parents not abiding by the rules and the occasional fight! But that’s not MSc fault but the customers.

For our first cruise we were not let down. The ship itself is an absolute spectacle, the approach into port and seeing the ship towering above everything really is unlike any other feeling. The interior is no different, after passing security you walk straight into a glamorous and diamond encrusted lobby. It’s hard to not feel bedazzled and somewhat overwhelmed with the luxurious entrance. The overall look of the ship follows suit, with mirrored surfaces and incredibly well kept. I will comment however that we did feel a little bit left in the dark once arriving on ship. We didn’t really have much idea what to do, but the staff were happy to help and give us ideas. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful. They work none stop and really do work hard to make the cruise experience happen. There were the odd few staff members with faces that had subtitles, and not in a good way; although there were a few passengers who reciprocated the same attitude, so it’s hard to blame the staff. The activities and things to do onboard were numerous. It definitely caters for all ages and I found myself many a times in the arcades or using the high rope course. The shows were fantastic and are a must do onboard. We were apprehensive at first as we did feel it was a little bit “holiday camp” feel, but we were not disappointed once the shows started. Activities change daily and tend to occur in the main galleria or the main pool area, although this does vary. It was always fun to walk through everyday and experience the sights. The dining was a slight sore point for me. The buffet was fantastic, plenty to choose from and a lot more relaxed dining. The overall quality was okay but meat quality and desserts were somewhat lacking in this area. The sit down dining was not much better in my opinion. Very slow service, terrible portion sizes, and the seating arrangements just didn’t work for us. I personally didn’t enjoy this part of the dining, whereas some did. The specialty dining however was much better, and most certainly hit the mark. It is however extra cost, but well worth the investment. Excursions were very disappointing. We did three in total and I can honestly say only one of them was good value for money. The main issue is that the price through MSC is extortionate for what you receive in my opinion. For a fraction of the price you can experience the exact same excursion but without MSC. There is a guarantee for late arrival with MSC, but with this particular cruise I’d find it very hard to make it back late (the ports are pretty small). This is one part of the cruise I would most certainly not recommend but would recommend to do on your own and save hundreds! Overall it was a brilliant cruise and I’m really glad I had the opportunity to enjoy it. If the dining quality could be improved alongside excursions being better value for money, then I’d give it a 5/5. However as is I’d give the MSC Virtuosa and this trip a solid 4/5.

We recently sailed on the MSC Virtuosa for a week, and overall, we had a memorable experience, especially with the fantastic food, top-notch facilities, and superb entertainment on offer. There was always something to do, whether it was dining in the various restaurants or enjoying the entertainment in the evenings. The highlights, however, were undoubtedly the days spent at port, with each tour being rich in history and filled with fascinating insights. Our favorite stop was Flam—its breathtaking surroundings and scenic walkways were beyond beautiful, and it became an unforgettable location for us as we got engaged on the Flam walkway. The personal photographer on board captured this special moment for us, adding to the magic of the trip.Special mention must go to the amazing staff who made our stay extra special. Forsette and Cleopatra, our room attendants, were incredible—they kept everything immaculate and always greeted us with a smile. Our waiter, Sagar, took excellent care of us throughout the week, and his attention to detail was appreciated. We felt very well looked after by everyone. However, there were some significant downsides that affected our overall enjoyment. The other passengers were often very rude, which made certain parts of the trip less enjoyable. We were especially disappointed by the lack of supervision of children on board, who seemed to be running riot without much regard for others.Another downside was that everything onboard seemed to come with an extra cost if you wanted anything special. While we anticipated some expenses, many things felt overpriced, and it quickly added up if you wanted to experience the more unique aspects of the cruise.Despite these negatives, our time onboard had its beautiful moments, particularly our engagement, and we’re grateful for the attentive staff and stunning ports of call, especially Flam.

Our cabin steward, Gene was excellent - very attentive and made our stay feel like 5 star luxury in the way our cabin was cleaned and tidied every day and the way he and the cabin stewards all looked after us. Everything on board was excellent and the Carousel show is a must! The only criticism is that the bars/lounges in the midship area of the ship around the atrium lacked sufficient seating and that was disappointing.
