My wife and I were given cabin 8271 on deck 8. The cabin was directly above the Safari Lounge the MSC Preziosa;s night club. The base or bass resonated around the cabin and caused the floor to vibrate. This started at 19:00 hours and continued into early morning. After two days of complaints nothing had been done even though many members of the guest staff had promised action. Eventually after issuing a verbal warning that we intended to disembark at the next port they gave us cabin 10213 on deck 10 to sleep in. I have stuck bigger postage stamps on envelopes than this room. We ended up with 2 cruise cards 1 for each room and this meant that one of us was locked out without a key of own to gain access. We were not told of the problems with cabin 8271 nor could it be determined from their brochure deck plan. It was a shambles and left us with a spoilt holiday and not an iota of compensation in any form.

I previously cruised with MSC(Magnifica) last year on a slightly longer cruise but similar itinerary, I mention as MSC seem to have tightened up their drinks packages - now you pay £10 more for half the drinks selection. Although Presioza is a newer ship it felt older than Magnifica - there are no USB sockets on the lamps in the stateroom for example. I do not know if it was because this was a packed (sold out) ship, but I did not feel like there was enough staff to cope. Long waiting times at the restaurants, cabins did not get cleaned as quickly. However it was still a fantastic cruise. The food was good and plentiful, although I griped at the drinks selection it was no problem getting drinks and you could get several at a time. The night club/disco was excellent. The shows were great and we all had a good time, but just slightly disappointed compared to last year. My advice is don't go in the School Holidays if you can help it!
