MSC Orchestra Reviews
View Cruise DealsJust returned from a med cruise from Genoa around the Med. Disappointed with most of it. The port organisation was awful and you just got brushed away if you asked anyone for help. Much the same on the ship. Some crew were very dismissive and ignorant. The ship itself was lovely....clean and bright but it very much lacked kindness.Â
I have recently returned from my first ever cruise and travelled on the MSC Orchestra Genoa Italy - Santos Brasil. What a way to go and what a trip, fun fun fun all the way. Great ship and great crew that could not do enough to ensure you had a great holiday. Travelled alone but was never alone on voyage, met many great people and enjoyed every single day. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this to anyone. Mind you I am thinking of suing the operators because all my shirts seemed to have shrunk in my wardrobe!! Only joking! I really think it was too much good food and a few drinks might have had something to do with it!!
This was a super cruise at a bargain price. As a repositioning cruise to Brazil we expected such downsides as lots of trainee waiters, the ship being at its absolute maximum capacity of 3000 passengers and some disruption in getting our luggage etc. However, for a highly geared price performance holiday it was a splendid cruise with fine food and reasonably priced wines.
just returned from Med cruise on MSC Orchestra, but for a slight hitch on arrival in Rome, ship and cruise were up to a high standard, Cabins and all areas very clean, shows were excellent, on board entertainment staff were very talented and very funny. Although mainly Italian & German passengers there were a few English speaking people on board. Food in Buffet was very tasty, could have been hotter, Food in Dining room very good, but lacked vegetables. Drinks were expensive, with the added 15% on everything. But an enjoyable cruise with interesting ports of call.
Wonderfully cruise, the ship was very clean, with very attentive staff. The cruise was very enjoyable but one complaint: the flight from Heathrow to Rio de Janeiro, no air conditionnait on the plane for 12 hours. entertainment no working arrive in Rio with need of a drink, which spoilt the beginning of my cruise for me and my wife.
Just returned from an 8 night cruise on MSC Orchestra. Ship was excellent, beautifully clean and with lovely modern decor. Majority of staff were pleasant, although some seem to lack the happy factor and a few were uncourteous, pushing in etc. The food on board was quite good. The self service buffet always had nice clean serving utensils, not handles covered with food as on some ships we have been on. Prices on board seemed a little high and you even have to pay for water at the dining table in the main restaurants (unlike all other ships we have been on). The ports visited were great, not really the most commercialised holiday destinations, just right for cruisers. We cruise again soon with MSC, so maybe this action alone best describes our opinion.
(Staff Review) I have just finished my second cruise on Orchestra but my first trip to the Baltics. Orchestra is a beautiful ship, very clean and very stylish, with some great Italian design. The staff are very kind and caring and go out of there way to make sure that you have a great holiday. Shows are held in the 3 tier Covent Garden Theatre, and there are numerous bars and lounges where you can drink, dance and relax in. Please bear in mind that this is Italian/European cruising so there will be a mix of nationalities on board which all adds to the cosmopolitan atmosphere on board. It does mean however that there will be announcements in 4 languages on board. To sum up, Orchestra is a lovely modern, ship, beautifully designed and you'll feel really good, cruising on this vessel.
