Having been on 4 MSC cruise ships and found the service and food fair to good I can say that I was surprised how much things have improved since my last MSc cruise 12 months ago. Food excellent, service excellent cleanliness excellent. Only issue is entertainment still more suited to Italian tastes although that is to be expected.

This cruise was a birthday surprise for my fiancé. The ship was clean and tidy. The outside cabin we had was lovely and clean and had loads of space for our clothes. The meals in the restaurant were very good and presented nicely and the waiters attentive. The buffet restaurant was alright but not really the same quality as the Marco Polo restaurant. Pizza's etc were lovely. Overall - for our first cruise - we were impressed

I found this ship to be a bit too small, particularly evident when we hit some squally weather and myself and many other passengers experienced feeling unwell for a couple of days.

I have just finished a cruise on the MSC Armonia.Cruise went well till disembarking. My flight from Santa Cruz to Newcastle was not till 9.10pm 27th.To get my transfer I had to leave the ship at 8.30 am arriving at the airport at 9.30am.There was nowhere to leave my luggage so for 12hrs. I had to sit around in the airport. I was aware the flight was not till 9.10pm but no one informed me that I would have to leave the ship so early. Bad organisation and I am not happy and it will reflect on my next holiday.

Quite a friendly ship. Food not bad, buffet requisites not filled up frequently enough and tables not cleaned efficiently. Dining room staff very good and good cabin steward. Our inside cabin was very good and adequate wardrobe space etc. On the minus side smoking is allowed in the English Pub so that was out of bounds for us you could smell the smoke before you even got there. Also smoking round the pool area. Embarkation and dembarkation was very smooth. We would like to thank Iglu for a well organised trip.

I had a good cruise and met some nice people. The only thing I didn't like was  I was there alone and I was put at a table for dinner with two couples and a man on his own, one couple asked to get put on the first sitting , the other couple and man ate at the café, so I was left alone, this made me feel very uncomfortable, I think singles should get a chance to get to know each other. Also at breakfast and lunch I was put mostly beside people who didn't speak English. I think all singles should be put together for dinner and at all mealtimes should be put beside people who spoke the same language.

Recently returned from a cruise from Gran Canaria to Morocco and the Canaries. First impressions were that the ship was very clean and well maintained. This was our fifteenth cruise, so we are fairly 'au fait' with what we expect. Let's go through the negatives first - no tea or coffee making facilities in the cabin, no spare toilet roll, no bed turn down on the first night and no tea or coffee offered after dinner, and the cabin safe was faulty. Room was spacious enough and was kept very clean throughout the cruise. The toilet roll issue was rectified on the third day, as was the bed turn down, but the safe remained unusable. The food in the main dining room was variable. At breakfast, unless you ordered the MSC breakfast which was freshly cooked, all the menu items were available as a buffet and were not particularly warm. Lunch was very good, but the menu was repetitive and seating was not arranged by nationality which did surprise us. Dinner options were not particularly good as the choice was very limited and ( possibly fortunately) the portions were very small with very few vegetables. Other eating venues around the ship consisted of pre-cooked pizza, pasta and hamburgers which, again, were only lukewarm. Entertainment on the ship was very poor during the day unless you wanted to learn Latin dances. The evening shows which had to be pre-booked (great idea) were varied and consisted of tremendous costumes, average dancing, poor singers and tremendous individual entertainers. Off the ship the tours were the best that we have ever experienced and combined great value with great guides and wonderful destinations. Being a multi-lingual ship, we must congratulate MSC on making everyone inclusive, but we found it rather annoying that all announcements were in five languages with hardly a pause in between. A minor annoyance which may not be truly valid. Overall we enjoyed the break but would hesitate to cruise with MSC again unless the destinations were truly irresistible.

All in all the ship was very clean and tidy but the food was not very good, not to the standard we are used to on cruise ships. The entertainment seemed to be based around couple off dozen people wanting to get up and take dancing lessons day and night and again the theatre shows were very poor based on a few girls and boyss dancing on stage Not very well I might add. To say that MSC have just spent so much money on this ship it was not very well stabilised compared to other ship,s. The staff were very nice across the ship but I think that €8.30 per person per day gratuities is a bit too high I know we could have taken this off our bill and give our own tips out but we then thought it would not be fair on behind the scenes staff so paid it. For the price we paid it was a nice break but don't think we will book another MSC cruise
