You will be at sea on day 2-8 while travelling from Dubai to Suez Canal Transit.
Suez Canal Transit
Dating back to Ancient Egypt when the city was used to protect the land from invasion, the Suez Canal offers plenty of history to discover as well as a slower pace of life than the bustling cities nearby. Explore the museums here to learn more about the fascinating timeline of the canal as well as the Pharaoh’s and their pyramids, or if you have a longer stay, venture further afield to witness the Pyramids of Giza themselves.
From the thrilling waterpark to the immersive zoo that’s perfect for all the family, to ancient castles and an archaeology park, Limassol is a hidden gem in Cyprus. At the heart of the city is Limassol Castle, home to a grizzly history and the Museum of Cyprus which is well worth a visit to uncover more about this city. Don’t forget to make time to visit the buzzing bars, cafes and restaurants for authentic Cypriot cuisine.
Hapag-Lloyd Covid-19 safety measures
At embarkation, all guests must have completed a health questionnaire, undergo health screening and have their temperatures taken. Social distancing will be facilitated through reduced ship capacity, less tables in restaurants and longer opening times to extend dining times. Self-service buffets in restaurants will no longer be available. While entertainment and activities will still take place, they will do so in smaller groups to ensure that guests can stay at a safe distance from one another.
When it comes to cleaning, disinfectant dispensers will be located across the ship, especially in public areas. Innovative air conditioning systems will mean that all air is fresh and clean, while frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned every 30 minutes, cabins and suites three times a day and a deep clean will be carried out after each cruise.
Crew are looked after with additional training, COVID-19 testing, temperature checks and face masks. Increased numbers of medical staff will be onboard in case of illness, and a Public Health Specialist will be onboard each cruise to ensure that all procedures are followed.
