All the staff were excellent and very helpful. Many of the staff would break into song and were very good! Our cabin stewards were very accommodating and did an excellent job, and they were Julius, Fadilla and Christopher. Loved the towel art by the stewards. The exercise classes were great fun and the dance classes with the two professionals, Valeria and Yefferson, were absolutely amazing, a real treat to have their expertise right in front of you. All the bar staff were very fast at making cocktails!! A great holiday.

This was a hassle free cruise from beginning to end. The tours were very well organised. The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. Luggage taken care of - all the more time to relax. This cruise can be as busy or as lazy as you would like it. Lots to do on the boat if that is what you want. Plenty of sunbeds by the pool. The food was outstanding and very varied. We had a great holiday.

Piombino
DAY 326 Jun 2023
Time at Port: from 8 AM to 7 PM
Piombino is the second Tuscan port after Livorno, perfect for quickly reaching the Island of Elba. It is thought that the first human settlements date back to the Etruscan civilisation (between the 8th and the 2nd century BC), as evidenced by the tombs discovered at the nearby Populonia and Baratti. In fact, you can visit the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia in the company of a guide, to discover the necropolises and acropolis.
Things to do in Piombino:
Gulf of Baratti
The Gulf of Baratti owes its name to the town of the same name located on the coast. The area is known for its Etruscan burial mound - testimony to the ancient civilisation of central Italy - which today are part of Baratti and Populonia Archaeological Park.
Archaeological Museum of Populonia
The Archaeological Museum of Populonia is home to numerous finds from prehistoric and ancient times. One particularly special item among these is a silver amphora dating back to the 4th century AD, which is believed to have come from the city of Antioch after being lost during a shipwreck.
Populonia Archaeological Park
Established in 1998, Baratti and Populonia Archaeological Park is part of the whole of the Val di Cornia Parks. Here you can explore the ancient city of Populonia, the only Etruscan urban settlement on the sea.
Savona
DAY 427 Jun 2023
Time at Port: from 8 AM to 6 PM
Savona is the third largest city in Liguria, after Genoa and La Spezia. It boasts remarkable points of interest such as the Priamar Fortress which was built by the powerful Republic of Genoa, and dates back to the 16th century. The Savona Sistine Chapel, smaller than its Roman namesake, which was commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV in the 15th century, and the Cathedral of Maria Assunta, the main place of worship in the Savona area. Another prominent aspect of the city is the Art Nouveau-style architecture.
Things to do in Savona:
Art Nouveau Architecture
Savona is one of the main Italian cities in which the Art Nouveau style developed. Villa Zanelli, built in 1907, represents one of the main masterpieces of this artistic movement in Italy. It is located on the beach of the Legino district and can be seen by visitors as they walk by on the sand.
Bergeggi
Bergeggi is a historic village in the province of Savona, about 110 meters above sea level. Just off the mainland is the island of the same name, also known as Isola di Sant’Eugenio, ideal those who love diving and exploring marine fauna and flora.
Capella Sistina
The Sistine Chapel, not to be confused with the chapel of the same name in the Vatican City, was built at the end of the fifteenth century at the behest of Pope Sixtus IV - to whom it owes its name. It was designed as a tomb for the noble Della Rovere family of Savona.
Priamar Fortress
The construction of the Priamar Fortress began in 1542, and takes its name from the hill on which it stands. It was built and then expanded at the behest of the Republic of Genoa, with the aim of bringing the city of Savona under full control.
