Cocktails and Coconuts & Tropical Shores from Barbados, 15 December 2024 (14 nights)

We loved our Caribbean cruise on the Marella Discovery! We loved the informality and the freedom to eat, when and where we wanted. We especially loved The Islands self service restaurant for breakfast and lunch. We found the variety and quality of the food was great. In the evening we loved a more formal waiter service meal in the gallery 47 restaurant where the food was always delicious. The entertainment was incredibly varied and there was definitely something that appealed to all ages. We especially enjoyed the evening shows in the theatre. Gabi is a wonderfully talented singer and the dance partnership of Kevin and Gabrielle was incredibly dynamic (better than anything we’ve seen on Strictly!) The crew on the ship were always, without fail, friendly, hard working and genuinely helpful throughout. From the Captain right down to the cleaners, every crew member was superb. The customer service the crew provided was second to none! Every member of the crew were always cheerful and professional (even when spoken to rudely by other passengers!). You must train the staff well in customer service, as the experience we had was the best ever!

Food and entertainment were great. The cabin was lovely and clean. A bit snug for 3 adults though. This cabin is supposed to sleep 4 people and would be a crush for that many people. I think that it shouldn’t be advertised for more than 2 people. We paid for a suite thinking it would be more room for 3 adults but this was not the case especially as one of the party had a walker/stroller and couldn’t get around the cabin when using it. Enjoyed all the ports visited and service was impeccable. Staff work really hard. Martha in particular, who couldn’t do enough.

The staff make this cruise they go beyond every day , waiters , bar staff cabin staff ect . Entertainment disappointing repetitive shows heard mr and Mrs questions 3 years in a row , collective very good but one love terrible bring back dem boys . Great entertainment. Really good service from friendly staff. Good food. . Great cruise all round.
