Incredible two weeks. Everything was 5* +. We loved the dining, drinks, entertainment, cleanliness, port stops. Cannot find a single fault. Unable to comment on excursions other than that they’re pricey. We did it all ourselves for much cheaper.
* Please note - Itineraries calling into Venice and Dubrovnik will incur a small tourist tax per person, this will be added to your onboard account during the cruise.

Alanya
DAY 7
23 Sep 2025
Time at Port: from 12 PM to 6 PM
A truly breathtaking beach resort city in Turkey, Alanya is one Mediterranean port of call you won’t want to miss on your itinerary. Part of the Turkish Riviera, and famed for being a legendary holiday hotspot for Cleopatra, this destination is renowned for its stunning sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, warm weather year-round, and mountainous backdrop. It’s also a hotspot for comfortable cafes, restaurants serving flavourful food, and lively bars; so, you’ll certainly have a relaxing time while soaking up the sunshine here. However, Alanya isn’t just about relishing in the incredible atmosphere of a Mediterranean resort. You’ll find some impressive hiking routes as you head further inland, and Alanya’s historic city centre is home to an abundance of historic sites worth seeing – Alanya Castle, which you won’t be able to miss when you arrive, dates back to the 13th century! A welcoming destination where the new and the old exist harmoniously to create a truly unique adventure, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Alanya.
Things to do in Alanya:
Alanya Castle & the Red Tower
Built throughout the early 13th century, with completion recorded as 1226, Alanya Castle was constructed over Byzantine and Roman fortifications on an elevated rocky peninsula in the heart of Alanya. Once an active defensive fortification, Alanya castle was transformed into a residential area throughout the 19th century following the Ottoman Empire’s pacification of the region. Now, you can find an open-air museum within. Similarly, the Red Tower – which was also constructed by 1226 and designed to protect the shipyard here – now hosts the Museum of Alanya. It remains one of the best-preserved Seljuk structures in the city and a symbol of Alanya.
Kleopatra Beach
Named for Cleopatra VII, Queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt from 51 BC to 30 BC and one of the most famous women in history, Kleopatra Beach is a stunning stretch of white-sand beachfront bordering on bright blue waters and the Mediterranean Sea. A stone’s throw from the heart of Alanya, and enjoying warm weather throughout the year, this beach is a great place for sun lounging and water sports alike. You’re not going to regret spending an afternoon soaking up the glorious Mediterranean sunshine here.
Damlatas Cave
An incredible beachfront cave system just a short distance from Alanya’s city centre, Damlatas Cave is home to an impressive abundance of stalactites and stalagmites formed over 15,000 years. Discovered largely by accident in 1948, the cave is said to be able to cure respiratory issues like asthma – with the cave itself being popularly known as the ‘asthma-cure cave’. With air in the cave containing a high percentage of carbon dioxide and consistently high humidity, there may be some truth to these claims. However, those who come for the cure spend four hours a day, every day for 21 days, in the cave itself.
