3 Chania, Crete
Chania, Crete
The old town of Chania is really worth a visit, as it is beautifully kept. I have a few favourite places we always visit when we are there. One of them is a cooperative for Cretan artist, where they have thousands of paintings at more than resonable prices (the price is usually €100, or can be "negotiated" to that price). It is situated in a small basement of a stone house in a back alley in the old town. There are also a couple of really nice restaurants, in buldings dating back to the 17th century with a ton of history. One of them (Tamarind) is in a old Turkish Bath house, and really worth a visit.

Kalamata is the second-largest city of the Peloponnese in southern Greece. The capital and chief port of the Messenia prefecture, it lies along the Nedon River at the head of the Messenian Gulf.

Corfu Town, Corfu
Corfu, one of Greece's most elegant island capitals, for old town charm and wonderful beaches. A tour around the island is a must as the contrast between the old town and newer beach resorts is vast!

This was our first cruise (3 Seas in the Med), so I can only compare with a shore-based holiday, rather than other cruises. Plus points: It was indeed nice to visit several new places in one holiday without any effort. The cabin (Deck 4) was comfortable, with plenty of storage space, but obviously smaller than a typical hotel room. All-inclusive food and drink were for the most part good quality and plenty of choice, although some of the drinks didn't seem like the real branded thing. Staff were all attentive and helpful. Drawbacks: Most places on the ship were pretty busy - it was hard to find quiet places. If you like a stroll in the evening, going round the promenade deck gets a bit dull. The corridor outside our cabin was noisy and the walls thin.
