We're just back from the Magellan cruise to the Canaries. We sailed there and came back on 22 October to Bristol. The cruise was very good, the food especially. It was first class, every meal carefully thought out and tasty. Five courses. We ate in the Kensington Restaurant and the waiters were so polite and professional. We spent a lot of time in the Hampton lounge listening to the piano/violin being played so beautifully. The drinks service there was very good, quick and efficient. We only ate at the buffet a couple of times but found that good as well, it was clean and the meals fresh. Cleanliness is clearly on the agenda as we were offered alcohol gel before entering every restaurant. No norovirus was present and the ship itself was cleaned all the time. We also loved the evening entertainment, the singers were fantastic and the dancers were great as well. Every time they appeared they had a different routine which was conducted with superior ballet expertise. Everything about the cruise was excellent. The Captain and his team Cruise Director Allwyn and David Garcia should be congratulated as we came home wanting to go again, very soon. Well done to all!!

Just back from a cruise to the Canaries and Madeira on Magellan. We found the cruise exceptional value for money. We were on deck 6 with a window. Our restaurant food , of which you could have 5 courses, was excellent and was served by the most delightful waiters, efficient, friendly and happy to chat to us. The Captain,Andrey, was superb, very informative and also friendly. The tours were extremely good value. A lot of reviews say do the tours on your own but all of our trips were superb with excellent guides. There was no hard sell anywhere which we liked. We had 2 formal dinners and the ladies dressed up well every night. I enjoyed We have cruised with Cunard and I can honestly say that although this was an older ship with no balcony and not a lot of frills we enjoyed the experience as much and will definitely sail with CMV Magellan again.
