To ensure the safety of guests, crew and the communities visited, travel requirements may vary by port and country of departure. Further detail will be provided as available.
Onboard Health and Safety
Royal Caribbean have partnered with medical and scientific advisors from their Healthy Sail Panel, their Global Head of Public Health and Chief Medical Officer, and local health and government authorities to help them develop their onboard protocols. These measures will include reduced capacities, enhanced cleaning and sanitisation and physical distancing.
Before You Travel to Cyprus:
Vaccinated guests who hold a valid vaccination certificate from the public authorities will be able to travel to the Republic of Cyprus without the need for a test. Guests of all ages flying into Cyprus must complete the Cyprus Flight Pass within 48 hours of travel to Cyprus.
Boarding Day In Cyprus:
All guests aged 2 and older must take a complimentary rapid antigen test at the terminal in Limassol and receive a negative result in order to sail.
Before Returning Home:
All guests aged 2 and older will need to take a complimentary COVID-19 test before disembarking the cruise. This result is required for re-entry into Cyprus and can also be used for re-entry into your home country if needed. Additional details will be provided onboard.
All guests age 18 years and older must have completed all doses of their COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before sailing. Guests younger than 18 years don't need to be vaccinated — but if they are, they can follow the testing guidance for fully vaccinated guests. Unvaccinated guests ages 12 to 17 years old, will need to arrange and take a PCR test for COVID-19 at their own expense no more than 72 hours before arriving in Cyprus. This test is required by the government of Cyprus to enter the country. Depending on the country of residence classification (e.g. green, amber or red), guests may require additional testing on arrival at the airport in Cyprus at their own expense. Please review your country’s entry requirements when travelling to Cyprus. All crew onboard Jewel of the Seas will be fully vaccinated. All guests aged 2 and older must take a complimentary rapid antigen test at the terminal in Limassol and receive a negative result in order to sail. We will email instructions on how to register in advance approximately 14-18 days before your cruise.
Going Ashore & Excursions
At ports of call, fully vaccinated parties have the choice of booking a shore excursion or visiting freely. Parties that wish to go ashore and include any unvaccinated guests, including parents traveling with unvaccinated children, must book a shore excursion through Royal Caribbean that is provided by an independent local tour operator that has agreed to comply with recommended health protocols. Vaccinated parents wishing to go ashore freely can visit our youth facilities once onboard to learn about drop off program hours and availability, and reserve time for their child on the day they wish to go in port.
