The information on this page only applies if you have booked a Fly Cruise package with us as your Travel Agent, so in your Iglu Booking Confirmation your contract will show as being with the Cruise Line. If your contract shows as being with Iglu, then we are acting as your Tour Operator and you will need to look at the FAQ below by clicking this link:
For those customers who have booked a fly cruise package where we are the Travel Agent (see Booking Confirmation), on many occasions, we are able to provide you with your Flight Carrier Locator Reference and dependent on the rules of that particular airline, you may be able to pre-book your choice of seat, add luggage, meals etc.
Often you will find this Flight Locator on the Invoice we send you from the Cruise Line.
However, there are certain circumstances where we may be unable to supply a locator, or where it may not enable you to access your flights. Some of these are:
Where a flight is booked under a "Codeshare". This is where several airlines may sell seats under their own flight number, for the same aircraft, that is actually only be operated by one of them. In this case, the option to manage your flight booking online varies.
If the seats are part of a group allocation, or are on a charter flight, then a locator may not be available for use.
The flights have yet to be ticketed. Often this may not happen until 3 months before the departure date, depending on the flight supplier and their terms and conditions.
Please note that prices to book seats, extra luggage, meals etc may vary depending on the class of fare booked, the route and the airline.
Please see the below for information on booking seats with our most popular cruise lines:
If you are booked on one of P&O’s chartered flights (to/from Valletta, Malta or Bridgetown, Barbados), you will be able to pre-purchase your seats through the P&O Cruise Personaliser here:
The Flight Seat Booker will open approximately 14 weeks prior to departure and close approximately one week prior to departure.
If you’re in the Baltic or Ligurian tier of the Peninsular Club, you will receive a two day priority booking window in which to pre-purchase your flights seats prior to them going on general sale.
To access Flight Seat Booker log on to Cruise Personaliser using your First Name and Surname, Date of Birth and P&O cruise reference (this is a 6 character reference made up of letters and numbers and can be found on your Iglu Booking Confirmation).
At the top of the page you’ll find an option called "Getting There and Back", from there you select "Flights". This will show your flight details and, if your flights seats are available to purchase, a "Book Seats" button will be displayed. You will then be able to select and purchase your seats.
If you are booked on a Thomas Cook flight, you will be able to pre-purchase your seats here:
Click on ‘Manage my Booking’, Select the ‘Other Tour Operator’ option, then using the drop-down menu, select ‘P&O Cruises”. Your booking number will be your P&O 6 character cruise reference.
If you have booked on a Jet2 flight, you can add extras here:
To log in, you need the surname of the person who made the booking and the P&O 6 character booking reference.
You will be able to preselect your flight seats through Marella’s Flight extras page here:
This can be done from 90 days before your return flight date. You will need your Marella Booking Reference (found within your Iglu Booking Confirmation), Lead Passenger Surname and Departure Date.
Alternatively, you can add the “Select Your Seat” option at the time of booking with our Sales team. Once this is added, you will then be able to log into the Flight Extras page and select your seat from 90 days before your return flight.
If you have upgraded to “Extra Legroom Seats” or “Premium Club”, you will be able to preselect your seats from 48hrs after booking.
Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Cruises/Azamara Club Cruise
Depending on the type of allocation your flights have been booked on and the airline, you should be able to preselect your seats once your flight tickets have been issued. Around 30 days prior to departure, your electronic Guest Ticket Booklet becomes available, which will have your Flight Carrier Locator Reference included. You can often find this reference on the Invoice we send you from the Cruise Line.
However, if you are booked on a Group Allocation (where the cruise line has blocked a number of seats on the aircraft) you may be able to preselect your seats from 4 days prior to departure, if not, you will need to speak to the staff at the check in desk at the airport for seat allocations.
MSC cruises always block book seats on an aircraft, in order to get the best prices for their fly cruise packages. Due to this, you will be unable to pre select seats in advance and will need to arrive at the airport with plenty of time to discuss seat allocations with the check in staff.
If you can see from your Cruise Line Invoice or Iglu Booking Confirmation, that you have flights with either EasyJet or Jet2, you will need to contact us in order to obtain your locator reference so you will be able to log in to their website and pre-purchase any extra items such as seats.
