Disney Cruise Line's ships all have everything you need for delicious meals from morning to evening. With three themed Main Dining Restaurants, a casual venue, quick-service dining, 24-hour room service and snacks throughout the day, you'll never find yourself going hungry during your holiday. With so many options, you may be overwhelmed when it comes to choosing where to go, but here are a few favourite venues:
In addition, for the grown ups looking for a romantic place to have dinner, there are venues that cater exclusively for adults. At Palo you can try Northern Italian specialities with a contemporary twist, while Remy serves up some of the finest French dining at sea.
Offering a full list of entertainment options, including award-winning Broadway-style Disney shows, for both the young and the young at heart, there is something for everyone onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship.
As you would expect evening entertainment is vibrant, exciting, plentiful and provides the highest level of entertainment options for the whole family to enjoy. One of the highlights of a Disney cruise is meeting all your favourite characters! This could be classics such as Mickey and Minnie, and Toy Story or new franchises such as Avengers, Star Wars and Frozen. Whatever ages your kids (or any other members in your group), there’s guaranteed to be a meet and greet, and photo opportunities for everyone.
Live shows are also a highlight of evening entertainment. During your cruise you can enjoy musical extravaganzas such as the likes of Tangled: The Musical and Disney's Aladdin in one of the onboard theatres. For those who'd rather be on their feet, there are also lots of deck parties throughout the cruise, which are of course also attended by some of your favourite Disney characters!
Alternatively, if you'd rather just enjoy a drink (or two!) there are plenty of bars and lounges to choose from on each ship, so find your favourite spot to head to night after night or try somewhere different every evening:
Younger children and infants can enjoy supervised activities in engaging spaces while teens can chill out in their own New York loft style club and enjoy cool activities including all the latest video games. No adults-allowed! Perfect for a cruise during the summer holidays or half term.
Disney 's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab features specially guided activities for children ages 3-4 years old.
Full of fun water slides, main pools and water park areas for the little ones, all the family will love the pool deck onboard Disney ships. Even better, while tucking into some ice cream and having a break on a lounger, the gang can enjoy a movie on the big screen!
In addition, the fantastic range of restaurants, including buffet venues with lots of choice, include hit dishes such as pizza and pasta, mean that mealtimes are as easy as you can imagine, with every member of the family guaranteed to find something that will satisfy their palate.

Disney Cruise Line are renowned for their family cruising, but their ethos that any child should be able to participate in youth programming, regardless of ability and employing youth counsellors who have experience working with children with special needs, including autism and behavioural challenges, separate them from the rest. Each Disney ship offers 16 disabled access staterooms, including two cabins that can sleep up to four passengers.
Fabulous experience on the Disney Dream. Really enjoyed the adult only areas of the ship (pools, bars and dining) Dinners in Palo and Remy were amazing. Loved Castaway Cay (lovely bays and great BBQ!). Beauty and the Beast and Believe shows were amazing
Brilliant cruise, we loved it. But we did think it was a bit expensive onboard seeing as the cruise itself was so expensive. Added gratuities of $94.50 per person including infants was over the top, yes we did have the opportunity to lower it but not before they had already tried to take it. But I have dealt with Disney before so should have learnt my lesson really. On the whole though it was a great experience.
We combined one week holiday on Fantasy around the Western Caribbean in September 2018 with a trip to the Disney in Orlando. It was a perfect holiday for our active family group of six. Four adults and two children. The cruise was fantastic overall. The quality of the stage shows are excellent, we found the ship to be very clean, very well organised for families, we loved our staterooms, the family evening dining experiences, the comfy seats in the cinema, and most of all the children loved returning to the staterooms to find out what animal model our room attendant had left on the bed each evening! We don’t normally enjoy beach holidays, but the Disney really look after their guests so well on Castaway Cay and it turned out to be such an enjoyable day and we were so sad to leave. The children did not join in the clubs and we did not take advantage of much of the adult only entertainment because there was so much for us to do together as a family. Although we fully agree that alcohol and children are not a good cocktail for a family holiday, the cost of alcohol was it’s only downside. For UK residents - up to three times the cost of a British pub.
SEWER GAS: Disney magic to Norway from Dover England. The Disney Magic ship is in bad need of repairs! We had a constant smell of sewer gas in our stateroom and in the hallways. Our room number was 7004. It resulted in headaches and a nauseous experience! We complained about the sewer gas multiple times and even filled out reviews about it but all they did was put tape over the bathroom drain. Other passengers in our same area had the same complaints! Some days were better and somewhere worse! We love Disney, but not this experience. We are on our way to Disneyland next month. On the ship, the food was good and The entertainment was great. We had fine service from the maids and in the dining room. SHIP RATE: 2 FOOD: 5 SERVICE: 5 MAINTANCE 1
