Queen Victoria Reviews
View Cruise DealsThis was our third cruise on Victoria The ship, service, decor and entertainment is still exceptional We will certainly cruise on Victoria again.
I love Queen Victoria she has a lovely warm feel about her, I always have a good time aboard her, the classes, talks, entertainment and as always the food was excellent and the staff amazing
We liked the ship,, Our stateroom was very well serviced and food in the restaurant and buffets was very good as was the attitude of staff. Freedom dining is a good way to meet other guests. Entertainment was varied and we particularly enjoyed the audiences with Jennie Bond-and Lesley Joseph, John Courtney’s shows were also very good, and all of the musicians were excellent. We really like Cunard’s afternoon tea, and quizzes were good fun. Bar prices are high and it is unreasonable to add a service charge and a place for a tip. The itinerary suited us very well and we enjoyed our days in all of the venues except Tenerife, where there was limited scope for exploring on our own. Overall, a very enjoyable cruise.
What an incredible experience. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows simply divine! The entertainment was first class and we went to the West End Style Theatre at least once every day. Rubbing shoulders with some of the stars was surreal but we couldn't get over how friendly everyone, that's the crew, the guests and the entertainers were. The food was wonderful and the service and attention to detail faultless. The activities on board were great fun and the excursions were brilliant Well done Iglu, well done Cunard. To coin a phrase. . . "I'll be back!". . .
A beautiful ship with just a few niggles. It was always a problem getting a seat in the Lido ( once you had overcome the obstacles of wheelchairs and walking sticks !!! Disappointed with the new Golden Lion menu - very little choice. Apart from that very happy.
Lovely traditional ship.
The highlights for us were: plenty of ballroom dancing, fabulous food and a spacious classical ship. The downside was that the drinks were pricey.
Queen Victoria was as usual elegant and professional. Staff were very attentive and obliging. Cocktail parties excellent Already booked to go on her again.
We have previously only ever cruised Cunard on the QM2 and thoroughly enjoyed that experience. However, we were slightly disappointed with our trip on the Queen Victoria. The ship itself was comfortable and relatively modern, but the drinking and dining options seemed limited and it got rather boring. The food was very underwhelming throughout our stay. We ate in the buffet, the main restaurant, the pub, room service, had afternoon tea and paid to eat at the steak restaurant (an extra surcharge of ÂŁ100) and the food was disappointing shipwide. The main restaurant in particular was not a great experience: service was slow and our order was incorrect twice. Portions were very small and every dish arrived luke warm at best. The steak restaurant was fine, but not worth the surcharge. The drinks package was good value. Entertainment was far less entertaining than on the QM2. Cabin was comfy and clean and we loved the balcony.
The staff are super. The ship is needing some tender loving care. Example shower need modernising. Entertainment could be reviewed. Queens Room mostly empty. Commodore Club like a sleeping zone. Cunard have a lovely asset, cruisers are considerably younger and all ages should be catered for.
