Before being allowed onboard guests must have completed a Declaration of Safety, to declare that they are fit to travel, and have their temperature taken. Luggage will be disinfected before being loaded.
Onboard
Once onboard, changes will include a reduced ship capacity and reduced capacity within public areas to ensure that social distancing can be maintained. Temperature checks will take place before entering public areas and dining will become contactless.
Cleaning
In addition to their already rigorous cleaning procedures, Crystal will increase the frequency with which they clean suites and staterooms, public areas and high touch points such as buttons and handrails. To encourage handwashing, sanitiser stations will be conveniently placed across the ships.
Crew
Before boarding, crew must provide a negative COVID-19 test both at home and at embarkation. They will then be required to undergo frequent testing, temperature checks and health screenings. Where needed, crew will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment.
Medical
Crystal Cruises provides state-of-the-art medical facilities onboard each ship, with equipment including medication, ventilators and virus testing, as well as a 24/7 team of nurses and doctors. Should the need arise, there are also isolation wards on each ship.
Ashore
To keep guests safe when heading ashore, Crystal Cruises will only visit ports of call that are safe to enter, and guests will have to participate in Crystal-led shore excursions. The group sizes on these activities will be reduced to facilitate social distancing and guests will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment.
