Day Port Due Depart
1 Flight departs
1 Rome (Civitavecchia)
Rome (Civitavecchia)
'The Eternal City' from unforgettable historical sights to exclusive designer shops, Rome really does have it all. Ensure you throw a coin into the Trevi fountain to make certain you'll return.
2 Salerno
Salerno
Salerno is a town in Campania (south-western Italy) and is the capital of the province of the same name. It is located on the Gulf of Salerno on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Salerno is the main town in the Costiera Amalfitana (the "Amalfi Coast" on the Tyrrhenian, which includes the famous towns of Amalfi, Positano, and others) and is mostly known for its Schola Medica Salernitana (the first University of Medicine in the world).
3 At Sea
4 Kotor
Kotor
With a truly beautiful bay, Kotor is situated under the steep cliffs of Lovcen. An excursion to the pretty town of Budva is highly recommended.
5 Corfu
6 Chania, Crete
Chania, Crete
The old town of Chania is really worth a visit, as it is beautifully kept. I have a few favourite places we always visit when we are there. One of them is a cooperative for Cretan artist, where they have thousands of paintings at more than resonable prices (the price is usually €100, or can be "negotiated" to that price). It is situated in a small basement of a stone house in a back alley in the old town. There are also a couple of really nice restaurants, in buldings dating back to the 17th century with a ton of history. One of them (Tamarind) is in a old Turkish Bath house, and really worth a visit.
7 Mykonos Town, Mykonos
Mykonos Town, Mykonos
Mykonos is a beautiful Greek island famed for its natural beauty, rich history and cosmopolitan character.
8 Athens (Piraeus)
Athens (Piraeus)
Athens offers a blend of traditional Greek culture and modern hustle and bustle. The Acropolis and Parthenon are not to be missed.
9 Thira, Santorini
Thira, Santorini
Santorini is the very essence of Greek charm. Sugar-cube houses cling to the cliffs. Vivid blue church domes add a splash of colour. And steep cliff-sides tumble into an impossibly clear sea. Just beautiful. Sample the wine or the cliff top views, the terraced bars and restaurants or the ancient Roman ruins on Santorini.
10 At Sea
11 Kotor
Kotor
With a truly beautiful bay, Kotor is situated under the steep cliffs of Lovcen. An excursion to the pretty town of Budva is highly recommended.
12 Messina, Sicily
Messina, Sicily
For a show unlike any you've seen before, visit the world's largest astronomical clock, Orologio Astronomico, in the Piazza del Duomo. It's set in a 60 m (197 ft) bell tower and when the clock strikes noon, it comes to life. As Ave Maria begins playing from a loudspeaker, the bronze mechanical figures start to move. A lion roars, a bird flaps its wings and two historical heroines take turns ringing the bell, all before it ends with a statue of Jesus appearing from a tomb.
13 Naples
Naples
Cruising into the Bay of Naples is a memorable experience. The Naples port is overlooked by the imposing Sant Elmo medieval castle, high up on Vemero Hill, as well as the 13th century Castel Nuovo, which is right next to the Naples cruise terminal in the heart of the city. Within a short walk, to the left of the terminal, are three of Naples best-known landmarks: Castel Nuovo, the 17th century Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale), and the elaborate 18th century San Carlo Opera House. To reach Naples’ fascinating old town, go straight past Castel Nuovo and then over the Piazza Municipio.
14 At Sea
15 Barcelona
Barcelona
Barcelona, whether you head for its beaches or bars, cafes or museums, a relaxing and cosmopolitan time is assured.
16 At Sea
17 Gibraltar
Gibraltar
In Gibraltar, take advantage of the incredible views from Europa Point and visit the underground chambers of St Michael's cave- watch out for the Barbary Apes though!
18 At Sea
19 Marseille (Provence)
Marseille (Provence)
One of the most romantic ports in the Med, Marseille is steeped in history and begs to be explored.
20 Genoa
Genoa
Amazing medieval streets, stunning works of art and ultra stylish shops... Genoa is gloriously Italian and genuinely gorgeous.
21 Florence & Pisa (Livorno)
Florence & Pisa (Livorno)
For Florence and Pisa, Livorno is the perfect place for which to discover the delights of Tuscany.

Very happy with the trip. Couldn't fault it. Would go again.

Food was awful. Greasy, uninspiring, and minimal. Without the Salty Dog grill and Slice pizza on deck it would have been worse. Cabin noisy, right at the front but we were not told this until a few days before the cruise and too late to do anything. Movies at Sea is excellent, casino excellent. Sadly not enough to make us book with Princess again.

Nice ship typical of its type. Well maintained and very clean. Service excellent in all departments. Food could have been hotter, but good to normal standard for this type of cruise. Entertainment poor to very basic. Not up to standard of comparable cruises. Not a smart crowd, formal nights around 60% of passengers made an effort, the rest never bothered to comply to the dress codes which is a shame for the passengers that make an effort. Not like this on a British cruise, but out of the USA seems fairly normal nowadays. Overall slightly disappointing. Not to standards of sister lines like P&O and Cunard.
