When’s on a cruise round the U A E and found it a please take experience crew staff food and entertainment thanks to every one on board for the holiday Mr Harris Rochdale England
For all bookings made within 31st March 2021 you can cancel up to 15 days before departure.
Prior to boarding, guests must complete an obligatory health questionnaire online and once at the embarkation terminal , there will be temperature checks, as well as a Covid-19 test for those over the age of six. Check-in will be done online, and when boarding guests must wear a mask.
With social distancing being so important, Costa have reduced the capacity of their ships, and will allow fewer guests in public areas and on shore excursions. Restaurants will also be adapted so there is more spacing between tables and seating, and table service instead of buffets. Signs throughout the ship will remind guests to always stay a safe distance from one another, and hand sanitiser dispensers will be conveniently located onboard.
On top of their already high standards, Costa Cruises will increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, including public areas multiple times a day, cabin deep cleans before each cruise and further cleaning each day.
While entertainment will still be dazzling, Costa Cruises have made some changes. Theatre occupancy will be reduced by 50%, with guests required to wear masks and check in and out. However, the shows will be performed several times so there's no need to worry about missing out.
To ensure crew safety, they will have their temperatures taken before and after each sailing, be equipped with PPE and be fully trained in safety procedures.
Should anyone become ill onboard, each ship has a medical centre with doctors and other healthcare professionals on hand.

We were really surprised by the cruise. We have done all our cruising on Cunard ships and were expecting something far more basic. The crew were delightful and the food excellent. The ship was delightfully decorated and meticulously clean. We were disappointed that the various buffets opened and closed at what appeared to be different time each day, you were never certain what you would find open. There were times when none of the buffets were open. The bars were all very noisy in the evenings, the only chance of holding a conversation was on the top deck, pleasant but hardly convivial surroundings. We had no complaints about the wine package. To sum up, it was a surprisingly enjoyable cruise at a very economical price.

The cruise was ok and value for money it was obvious to us having been on that ship before they are making lots of cuts and it shows. Will not be sailing on Costa again they have cheapened the brand .

Just finished our 7 days cruise yesterday, it was a good experience and everything was very well organized. Crew from all levels and positions were helpful and friendly. Foods were good and delicious, but sausage & salami all was pork which we as Muslims, could not use it! Free Drinking water also was a serious problem on board costa fortuna , sometimes having bad taste and smell. Thanks to all of them.

Fortuna is showing her age but still a nice ship. In the last few years Costa have reduced the extras and try to get more money from selling as many extras as possible. For instance they use to be regular ice cream from machines most days but these were only switched on once in 9 days. The inclusive drinks deal was excellent value though. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious . However as the breakfast and lunch times sometimes finished quite early it was a bit of a bun fight. The experience is a bit like an exuberant 'Italian Butlins' on the sea! Good fun if a little hectic and at times chaotic. We had a great time.

I took a cruise on the Costa Fortuna departing from Copenhagen. She is 10 years old and looks her age. The good things: Size of the cabin was very convenient. Lots of cabinets and a large bed which was very comfortable. Many shelves in the bathroom and safety measures not to fall or slip. The balcony we booked was small but with a table and two comfortable chairs and it was nice sitting there. Staff was very friendly, the stewards efficient, the elevators speedy and lots of them. Evening performances at the theater were quite entertaining despite lasting only 45 minutes. 5th floor has several bars with singers and dance floors, quite enjoyable. Before going on the cruise we were often in contact with the company's representatives and they did their best to help us with anything. The bad things: The air conditioner was very weak and hardly noticeable and it was hot. In the bathroom we had almost no hot water and it was very unpleasant. TV was huge with a small screen (TV not even LCD). Both the TV and the remote only allowed to jump forward one channel or change volume. The picture quality was poor and unclear and that could not be improved. There were a lot of the ship's channels and the rest were Italian. There was only one news channel in English, the BBC. We talked with the steward on these issues and we were told that's that. Room's water had terrible taste, no way we could drink that. We had to buy the ship's water, each liter for 3 euros! Even that had a very funny taste. When I talked to other passengers who were on other cruise lines, no one has encountered such a problem. I understand the ship is 10 years old but is that an excuse for such disregard? Breakfast and lunch were very scarce and very poor selection. The same the whole seven days. Other people from other cruises were just amazed. Tours: The ship was not sailing to Bergen although most other tours do. In Geiranger we could not get off directly to the harbour but through a boat and on return everyone had to wait half an hour in the heat for our turn to get back to the ship. On the third day we came to Skjolden from nine in the morning till five thirty. It's a tiny place with nothing realy to do if you wanted to go ashore. We took a tour of the glacier and drove for three hours there and back ond then only saw it from afar. There was no nice scenery on the way either. At Oslo we arrived at seven in the morning and stayed only until 12 which wasn't enough for a proper tour. We were told the reason for that was that the ship wanted to get in time to the next stop, Warnemunde, so that people wanting to do a tour in Berlin could get there in time. As we didn't need that tour and there was nothing to do in Warnemunde we had to stay in the ship from nine and a half to eight in the evening! Another annoying problem was that in each of the docking points there weren't any taxis or other means of transporatation besides that of the ship's. In conclusion, this was my first cruise and next time if there is one I'll be wiser in choosing the right cruising company.

"Still good value for money and good food (especially if you like Italian Food). Shuttle buses cost 5 Euros and operate only after all tour buses have departed. Allocated waiters and cabin steward provided excellent service. Sailed aboard the Costa Fortuna."
