Charleston is the second largest city in the state of South Carolina. It was made the county seat of Charleston County in 1901 when Charleston County was created. Charleston contains many major tourist attractions, including South Carolina Aquarium - an extremely popular family attraction with many large sea creatures and aquatic information, including sharks and turtles; City Public Market - an iconic open-air market offering an authentic Charleston shopping experience; Fort Sumter National Monument - one of Charleston's most noted historic sites, where the Civil War began in 1861; Fort Moultrie - a fascinating fort with a rich history, dating back to the late 18th century; and Charleston's Magnolia Plantation - originally created in the 1670s, containing beautifully landscaped gardens, a small zoo, an art gallery and waterfowl area.

My wife and I both got food poisoning on the last day of the cruise. Had to call out the paramedics at San Juan airport. Beware!! Otherwise good cruise

The Summit is one of the slightly smaller Millennium class Celebrity ships but that doesn't mean that passengers miss out in any way. The Officers and crew are always around and available and so friendly and helpful. Food in all dining areas is excellent with a huge choice: entertainment was very varied and first class. There are lots of quiet areas to sit and read as well as larger social (people watching) parts of the ship. She is in for a massive re-furb in February so should look even better next year.
