2 Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is the sunny city set in Southern Florida. Often called the ‘Venice of America’ due to its expansive canal system and beautiful river fronts. Fort Lauderdale is well known for its beaches, arts, shopping and year round tropical climate. Chosen by many as their favourite holiday destination, it is certainly an excellent place to start or end your cruise!
3 At Sea
4 George Town, Grand Cayman
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is home to the island’s capital George Town. The city is famous for Seven Mile Beach, one of the world’s best beaches, and watersports ranging from jet skiing to windsurfing. If you like snorkelling, then take a trip to Stingray City. You won’t be disappointed. Before you leave Grand Cayman, don’t forget to try the delicious local Tortuga Rum Cake and, if you have time, explore the legendary Cayman Wall on board a submarine.

6 Willemstad, Curacao
Willemstad, Curacao
Curacao is one of the Dutch Antilles. This is reflected in the Dutch cuisine served in the island’s restaurants and in the Dutch-style houses of the capital Willemstad. Here shopping is superb…the ‘Floating Market’ alongside the canal is well worth checking out. You will find anything from tropical fruits and vegetables to local handicrafts. Visit the dramatic Hato Caves, a series of grottos with underground waterfalls and ancient Indian petroglyphs, or explore the spectacular Curacao Sea Aquarium, where you will see around 400 exotic species of marine life. Dive in the sapphire blue waters near the beautiful coral reef and experience feeding turtles and stingrays. Then discover Curacao’s Ostrich Farm, where you will see how the ostrich develops from an egg to the largest bird in the world. Before you leave the island, you must try the famous Curacao’s fruity liqueur.

7 Kralendijk, Bonaire
Kralendijk, Bonaire
One of the Dutch Antilles, Bonaire is known for the preservation of nature and the marine environment. This makes it perfect for snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing and kayaking. But Bonaire is not only a diver’s paradise, it has something for everybody. If you are a nature lover, you can cycle and immerse yourself in the unspoilt natural landscape. The island offers a fantastic climate, crystal clear waters and year-round sunshine. Even though Bonaire is laid back and slower paced, the nightlife here is amazing. Get to meet the local people, you will find them very warm and friendly. Don’t miss out on the local cuisine in one of the many world-class restaurants of the island. If you’re looking for cool Bonairean art, jewellery or souvenirs, there’s a main shopping avenue with stores that sell unique merchandise, some made by local craftsmans.

8 Oranjestad, Aruba
Oranjestad, Aruba
Being one of the Dutch Antilles, Aruba still retains its Dutch charm. You will notice this when you see the many windmills that are to be found in the island. Aruba is characterised by fine beaches, sapphire blue waters, almost year-round sunshine and exotic cactus. In the capital Oranjestad, admire the pastel coloured houses and the palm-lined streets. Then go snorkelling and discover the incredible coral formation and tropical fish. Other highlights include gold mine ruins in the countryside, Guadirikiri Caves and the fascinating natural limestone bridge. If you like shopping, you’ll love Aruba and its fabulous shops and outdoor markets.

Great ship, excellent crew. It certainly divides opinion in several aspects, and I suspect the haters are mostly conventional cruisers, whereas the lovers have less experience of conventional cruising. This was only our 5th cruise, but we have sailed with Celebrity twice previously on Constellation and yes, Edge is VERY different. We loved it. It is clearly more advanced technologically - the Celebrity app worked really well for us, and I understand it is being/has been, introduced on other ships in the fleet. The overwhelming feeling on board is how much space there is, in particular the Oceanview café with its high ceiling and enormous windows. Eden is an unusual and fascinating concept which we really enjoyed, but I can understand not everyone would appreciate it. The Revelation show was something special, although it is quite unclear what is going on. Just be prepared for the performers to try to interact with you if you are within reach. Quality and choice of food was very good everywhere we ate. There was plenty of variety in the entertainment and activities on board, not necessarily all to our taste. The IV cabin was designed very well, except for the IV part. The electric window and blind were very slow and noisy in operation and I heard of some people whose window stuck and had to be pushed to get it moving again. I suspect they may prove unreliable over time. Also the blind is not convenient if you want a quick peek at the outside world. Congratulations Celebrity, you have broken the mould with this ship, even if it is marmite!

Thoroughly enjoyed our cruise aboard this new ship! Cabins are the best ones we have ever had (we have been lucky enough to have over 15 cruises with various lines - 5 with celebrity) . The friendliness onboard from all levels of staff cannot be beaten. We had a sunset veranda cabin which was stunning (the only downside was when the sea was rough it was like being on a see saw!!). The only downside was the seafood restaurant (Raw 5) was an open display of fish which created a very strong odour all along that corridor - would have been better in a closed off chiller ! This put us off even eating in there.
