Whilst at the aquarium, you can spend your time wondering around the different exhibits and can even opt to purchase one of the extra experiences; which include the likes of penguin encounters and wild dolphin cruises.
Ybor City
The vibrant neighbourhood of Ybor City boasts a wide selection of fascinating vintage shops, boutiques, and Latin American/Cuban eateries. There's even a mall with all the amenities you'll require, including bars and a cinema.
Puerto Limon

One of the most beautiful regions in Costa Rica, Puerto Limon (also simply known as Limon), is the seventh largest city in the country. With an incredible 125 miles of pristine shoreline, with white-sand beaches, towering mountains and colourful buildings, it has a tropical feel. Attractions in the city include Vargas Park, the Sloth Sanctuary and the beautiful Playa Bonita beach.

Vargas Park
Located in the heart of the city, this pretty park is home to a band stand and an array of tropical wildlife. Given to the city by a fruit plantation company, it’s within easy reach of other attractions in the town such as the Antigua Gobernacion de Limon.
Sloth Sanctuary
Whether you love animals or simply want to learn more about these fascinating creatures, the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica is a wonderful place to visit. An animal rescue centre within easy reach of Puerto Limon, it’s dedicated to the rescue and research of these unique animals.
Playa Bonita
If you’re looking to relax and unwind during your time in Puerto Limon, head to Playa Bonita. A picturesque beach with a rocky shoreline, coral reef and golden sand, it’s the ultimate place to relax or enjoy some snorkelling.
Gatun Lakes, Panama Canal

Gatun Lakes is a lake that spans 166 square miles in Panama. Part of the Panama Canal system, it is a manmade lake that was created by the damming of the Charges River. Attractions located near to the Gatun Lakes include the Parque Nacional Chagres, Monkey Island and the Soberania National Park.

Parque Nacional Chagres
Spanning just under 130,000 hectares, the Parque Nacional Charges (Charges National Park) was protected in 1986 and boasts a wide variety of flora and fauna. An extraordinary area to explore, it's within an hour of the Gatun Lakes.
Monkey Island
Situated in the centre of Lake Gatun, Monkey Island is a unique attraction that gives you the chance to get up close to the resident monkeys. Fascinated by humans, these friendly monkeys will come up close to tourists.
Soberania National Park
Situated 15 miles from Panama City, the picturesque Soberania National Park boasts several hiking trails and an array of wildlife including exotic birds. A beautiful place to visit whilst stopping off at the Gatun Lakes, the Soberania National Park is located within easy reach.
