Cruise in April 2017 for 12 days down to the Canaries Madeira and Portugal. Overall greatly enjoyed the experience even though I had been horrified by reviews I was reading just before I went. Shows generally good, and staff are friendly and helpful. Cabin smaller than I expected for a balcony cabin especially the bathroom, but the bed was very comfortable, and the room was always kept clean. Decor around the ship is tasteful and the atrium areas are lovely - a very nice place to sit and people watch. Buffet could be manic at times but always found a table. Had set dining on an evening and staff were helpful - some food not memorable but waiters would obliging change anything you weren't happy with. I had heard moans about sunbeds but there are hundreds as the ship has several sun decks so never a problem and I like the quieter pool are for adults only. Only niggle is the lifts - especially for disabled that we spoke to, but perhaps if more able bodied people bothered to walk a couple of flights of stairs now and again this wouldnt be so much of a problem - although the lack of stairs mid ship is a pain! The other paid venues are not over priced compared with other cruise lines, and Sindhu is an absolute joy - a real treat, and cheaper than Sindhu on Aurora (unless the price has been lowered on her). Britannia is a lovely ship - frankly I always travel everywhere with an open mind - there will always be niggles with any cruise ship if you go looking for them.

Just back from a 12 day cruise to the Canary Islands. I would not recommend this ship nor go on it again. Deck 15 was very noisy throughout the day and night with a lot of movement from the Lido deck above. The food was adequate but lacked variety and taste. Overall the service was sloppy and it appeared that everything was done on the cheap. The Britannia Entertainment team was good but not enough to make a return trio. Disappointing.
