Our third annual cruise show, held at the prestigious Kempton Park Racecourse was a massive success. With beautiful clear blue sky and the sun shining down on us, people of all ages turned out in their droves.
We were thrilled and honoured that so many ocean and river cruise lines were keen to be part of it. Combining the in depth knowledge of 25 cruise lines together with Iglu’s team of top cruise experts, and inspirational guest speakers, it was the ideal place to research your next or first cruise.
Television actress and celebrity, Julie Peasgood joined us to talk about 'The Joys of River and Ocean Cruising'. Luke Smith of Carnival Cruise Lines got our audience very excited about the brand new Carnival Vista, soon to be debuting in the Mediterranean. P&O and Cunard talked us through their 2017 & 2018 launch, and showed us pictures of the recent changes to their flagship Queen Mary 2. MSC and Princess Cruises joined Julie Peasgood and Iglu’s Dave Mills to discuss ‘Cruising for Newcomers’ which proved extremely popular with our visitors.
We had a selection of incredible prizes to give away in our competition, including luxury bathrobes, limited edition cookery books, luggage, travel accessories and much more. Our main prize however, was a fantastic three night 6 star luxury cruise onboard the newly refurbished Azamara Journey, visiting the stunning ports of St Tropez and Santa Margherita. Major Rob Marshall was our lucky winner and was presented the prize by Richard Twynam, Managing Director of Azamara Club Cruises.
