Royal Caribbean 2013 UK Departures Launch Today

20 March 2012

Adventure of the Seas

Royal Caribbean's 2013 ex-UK sailings have gone on sale to the general public today. The cruises on offer include Independence of the Seas' first ever trip to the Norwegian Fjords, along with her popular Med sailings, and the new to the UK, Adventure of the Seas.

Highlights:

Royal's Caribbean's 2013 sailings from the UK are full of firsts for the cruise line. As well as the aforementioned Fjords cruise and a new ship gracing our shores, next summer will be the first time the cruise line have based two ships out of Southampton. With summer packed full of sailings out of the UK's busiest cruise port, Royal Caribbean are showing a huge commitment to UK cruising, and these exciting holidays are available to book from today!

Independence of the Seas has been sailing since her launch in 2008 and this winter will be cruising over to the Caribbean for the first time. The ship is then scheduled to head into dry-dock for a little face-lift and update, before heading back to Southampton in Spring 2013. On her return, the refreshed ship and the largest cruise liner to sail from a UK port, will enjoy another summer of sailing to the Med, but will offer her first ever Norwegian Fjords sailing.

As the largest ship in European waters, this will surely be an incredible way of visiting one of the world's most beautiful coastlines. Balcony cabins are bound to sell like hot-cakes and since the ship's 2013 sailings went on sale at 9am this morning, the phone hasn't stopped ringing!

Adventure of the Seas, one of Royal Caribbean's popular Voyager class ships, will be basing herself in Southampton for the first time in 2013. This is the first time she has sailed from the UK, as well as the first time Royal have had two ships in Southampton. The 3,100 passenger ship will be among the largest to sail from our shores and will be offering up a selection of Mediterranean and Baltic cruises.

Adventure of the Seas offers everything you would expect from Royal Caribbean, but carrying 1,000 passengers less than Independence of the Seas, she may appeal to those looking for a smaller big cruise ship. She boasts all the usuals, such as great dining and entertainment, along with an ice rink, climbing wall and much, much more.

To tempt you into an early booking for your 2013 cruise, as well as having the best choice of cruise dates and cabins onboard these ships, there are also some great Royal Caribbean 2013 cruises deals to enjoy. Royal Caribbean are currently offering free parking in Southampton, or a free coach transfer, savings of up to £400 per person and regional flights for £99 per person — if you prefer not to drive. On top of that, Iglu are exclusively offering half price tips, if you pre-pay your onboard gratuities and no credit card charges (deposits only).

This time last year the family cabins, most popular suites and best located balconies were selling quicker than you can say "can I book that cruise please?" With Indie visiting the Fjords for the first time, her Norwegian-bound sailings are going to sell quickly, and having spent a summer in the Caribbean, her loyal fans will be looking forward to sailing to the Med on her again.

With two ships offering ex-UK cruises, it's never been easier to cruise onboard one of the world's most popular cruise lines, without having to fly half way around the world.
