First time on Azamara, and it ticked most boxes. Smaller ship, friendly staff providing great service. Food and and dining areas were very good with plenty of choice. Inclusive drinks package was good. Cabin was spotless everyday, plenty of wardrobe space and very comfy bed.

Overall an excellent cruise on a good ship with first class service. Very good food. Our veranda cabin had enough space once we moved the table around the side of the love seat.

Wonderful excursions, especially the safari in Port Elizabeth at the Pumba game reserve. The Azamazing evening was excellent, the cultural dancing and music of the Zulus. We found all the staff on board Azamara very friendly and helpful and went that bit further. All together we had a wonderful experience in South Africa.

We had a fabulous time, the crew were fantastic the food was great. Some of the ports were a bit dangerous and it was a shame that the itinerary changed, but that is not the fault of the cruise line.

All aspects of the ship were very good. Accommodation, service, catering, entertainment, and general services were excellent. However, the ship and its crew were let down by a poorly planned itinerary. There were only 3 stops. Port Elizabeth was satisfactory. Two days at Richard’s Bay was unsatisfactory, because of the lack of shore excursions, and local amenities which were largely closed because of Christmas holidays. This was followed by a lengthy round trip to Maputo where disembarkation was not permitted. Durban was less than satisfactory due to the security situation, for passengers going ashore.
