Cruises to Alaska
For the first time ever, Azamara have introduced sailings to Alaska between May and September 2019.
Gaze out from the top deck of an Alaskan cruise and you could see humpback whales, orcas, grizzly bears, moose and bald-headed eagles. Sailing along an icy blue fjord with snow-capped mountains rising around you on all sides, a cruise allows you to see these natural wonders from an angle that you just can’t replicate from the shore.
Cruise with Azamara and the complimentary AzAmazing Evening events with localised and authentic experiences will make night time in Alaska as glorious as daylight, especially when you can catch the stunning Midnight Sun.
Highly commended for their carefully curated shore excursions which have no more than 25 people at a time, some of the things you can look forward to include: Dog sledding in Juneau
Once home to three of the biggest mines in the gold rush, Juneau is famed for its gold. As a result you’ll find a large number of jewellery shops here – the perfect stop to pick up a special souvenir. It’s also the access point for the breathtakingly beautiful Mendenhall Glacier, with many excursions centred around here. On a dog sledding tour with Azamara you will take a helicopter ride over the Medenhall Glacier and take an exhilarating journey with around 300 spirited huskies. Skagway White Pass Legacy Club Luxury Railway Experience
Also known as the ‘’scenic railway of the world’’, experience the beauty of Southeast Alaska from the luxurious Legacy Club Car with your very own guide. Azamara Land & Sea experiences
Combine your cruise with a pre or post land programme of up to six nights, including a discovery of untamed Alaska, a visit to native villages and a river boat cruise.

Cruises to Japan
In 2019 you can cruise to both Alaska and Japan as part of the same itinerary. This Far Eastern mecca feels more like a different planet than a small archipelago of volcanic islands. Although at the forefront of worldwide technological advancements, this magical country still reveres its ancient history. High-tech skyscrapers neighbour mountainous landscapes and high-end fashions meet traditional kimonos. This is where modernity collides with the past.
In Tokyo, you will experience energy like nowhere else. Astonishing and spellbinding, this metropolis offers an insight into an adrenaline-fuelled neon future. The streets are busy and vibrant, but slow down and look closely and you’ll find the polar opposite hidden in cracks. Tranquil temples, shrines and gardens lurk around each corner, with friendly local festivals popping up inexplicably. You’ll visit Toyko either at the start or end of your trip, so you can easily add on extra nights stays for further time exploring.
